Terms of Service

Last updated May 26, 2026. These terms are for the current Phos V1 product direction.

Use of Phos

Phos is provided as a private AI companion for thinking, writing, studying, planning, and local AI experimentation.

You are responsible for how you use the app, the models you install, the providers you connect, and any outputs you rely on.

No account or hosted inference in V1

The V1 product direction does not require login and does not provide company-paid hosted inference.

There are no ads or in-app purchases in the current V1 direction. Local model mode runs on supported device hardware. BYOK and local-server modes depend on services, keys, networks, and software you control or choose.

User-owned providers and servers

If you connect a provider key, model endpoint, Ollama server, LM Studio server, or OpenAI-compatible server, those third-party or user-run systems are outside Phos company control.

You are responsible for costs, rate limits, model licenses, provider terms, and network exposure for those systems.

Important limitations

Phos is not a medical, legal, financial, or therapy service. AI output may be incomplete, wrong, or unsuitable for high-stakes decisions.

Local AI performance depends on your device, model size, storage, memory, battery state, and runtime support.

Open-source and changes

Phos is intended to be public-facing and open source. Public repository content may change as the Android MVP matures.

These terms may be updated as distribution, supporter purchases, or platform requirements evolve.
